We are tickled that this Indiana pup has so much natural talent and stock rating ability at only 13 weeks. He's a natural. He has puppy sized jobs of helping to bring the geese in from the pasture, following along on chores and becoming comfortable and settled around the goats. We're using the doeling we're keeping since she is quite calm. My daughter plans on taking this pair for visits to the nursing home.
Shane has penned the geese and sits at the gate waiting for me to catch up and close it. He's bold enough to stay put even with the sassy geese hissing at him.
One chore is feeding the ram his hay. Shane barks and pushes the ram away from the fence when I'm ready to throw the hay over. He does this by instinct.
Introductions went well even though Mama Goat was steadily calling her kid back into the barn. There were times when Shane wanted to move the goat fast by nipping at it's tail, but he responded immediately to redirection.
